How to use the Techie Brekkie site

Feel free to dip into any post that catches your eye, or alternatively start at lesson one and work your way through them. The lessons are designed to be used as staff professional development and they come directly from sessions I have held with my fellow teachers. Each one of these  sessions has run for around 40 minutes.

Feel free to pick and choose your own sessions or work your way through from lesson one. I will add new posts as I hold new sessions and if you have any ideas about what I should include please let me know. So please leave me comments about what you would like to see, read or explore. I am a teacher, a learner and a blogger. The more I explore, the more I learn and the more I grow. Join me on my journey.

    Hi,

Thanks for creating such an informative Website! Apparently we have met before, informally, during the ACEC Conference in April! I caught hold of your site via the ULearn breakout sessions. I look forward to ‘picking your brain’ in NZ!

Thanks Henrietta…this is an amazing resource! I have been trying to work along these lines to support our staff and will definetly share your ‘techiebreakies’ with our school’s development. Congrats on ULearn – I would love to go sometime. Keep up the inspirational work.

Henrietta I am loving this site because I can stop and start when I get the chance. Thank you for setting it up for the staff. It is a valuable tool to use.

    Hello Hentrietta
This sounds really wonderful-especially for someone like me who is NOT a natural tech person but who feels passionate about the exciting opportunities this ICT knowledge and expertise offers. Thanks for your generosity and sharing.

  7. Hi Henrietta
Thankyou for your inspiration and enthusiasm! I am planning to start ‘Techie Brekkie’type meets at our school soon. I agree that there are so many resources out there that it can be totally overwhelming. I will follow your advice and encourage teachers to get to know 1 or 2 really well to begin with.

Thank you for your kind words Carmela, I hope you have great success staring techie brekkies at your school. Just remember to take baby steps and be prepared to hold many hands along the way.

Your fabulour blog inspired me to create my own blog giving you reference and siting the best, in my opinion, of what you have offered. Love your description of your stealthy informal pd’s, targetting staff who want to. The others will see the merit in technology and what it has to offer – hopefully sooner rather than later. I’m off to try out a few of the web2 sites you mention. My kids will love me for it. Thanks and keep writing.
