About me
My name is Henrietta Miller I am a primary school teacher currently teaching Year 5 at an independent girl’s school. I live with my techie husband, three children, two chickens and one dog in Sydney, Australia. I love reading, blogging, teaching and walking. I hate ironing and cleaning the house. I blog to reflect, share, learn and grow as a teacher… and to avoid doing any cleaning or ironing.
I also publish a second blog called Classroom Chronicles about my day to day experience of life in a Year 5 classroom.

hi henrietta,,,the brilliant bianca whom you mentioned on the your home page is a teaching colleague but she’s young and i came back to teaching after years in business (computer info services) so i am more like a rapidly maturing cheese compared with her. i teach maths and i have been trying for a few years to integrate technology with learning in a limited, time-constrained way. then along came DER and i find i both embrace it and also fight it. i get frustrated about how DER really used a hardware model and left the software model hanging on the teacher’s classroom door. the DER teaching/learning barrier became unscalable for many when it could have been so easy. enough for my first comment…i want to talk about student involvement directly in all this. cheers.
Hi Henrietta,
I have used storyjumper and just set up an account for all the girls for Glogster. Will try Prezi next. You are very inspiring Henrietta! Keep up the great work of encouraging teachers all over the world.
Thanks
